AORE 2008 'A Climate for Change' San Diego is at its prime in the fall. Sunny days, cool nights, no crowds. Plan now to attend the AORE International Conference 2008 from October 30-November 1st, 2008. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘A Climate for Change’, highlighting increased AORE member awareness and action toward environmental sustainability and opportunities for professional growth and change amidst San Diego’s renowned ‘Sunny and 75 forecast’. Attendance at this year’s conference is expected to be high and the population diverse, with San Diego's proximity to many universities, colleges, municipalities and military bases with active outdoor recreation programs. The conference will be held at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center, located in the geographic heart of San Diego. The Town and Country is 10 minutes from the airport and San Diego’s major attractions including our famous beaches, bays, Old Town filled with Mexican shops and cafes, the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World Adventure Park and the excitement of the downtown Gaslamp district. San Diego is well known for its diverse outdoor recreation opportunities with outstanding local access to surf, ocean and bay kayaking, hiking, climbing and more. World class rock climbing can be had at Joshua Tree National Park, desert exploration in the Anza Borrego State Park and endless exploration of the waves, deserts and mountains of Baja California, Mexico. Plan to come early and stay after the conference to enjoy all that San Diego has to offer. Registration for 2008 conference opens June 1, 2008
