Complimentary access to the fitness center and pool will be provided by the venue for all AORE guests, as well as complimentary wireless internet and complimentary shuttles to and from the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport.

Cut-Off Date & Reservation Guarantee
Attendees should make their reservation by Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Hotel reservations may be made online by clicking here or by calling the reservations number at 540.985.5900. Mention you are booking under the “AORE 2017” conference. All reservations must be guaranteed for late arrival. Failure to cancel a guaranteed reservation 24 hours prior to the day of arrival/occupy the room will result in either forfeiture of the deposit or a charge of one night’s room and tax applied to your credit card.
Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport
Attendees are encouraged to fly into the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA). The Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center is located about 7 miles (10 minutes) away from the airport. A free shuttle is available courtesy of The Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center to and from the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport.
Parking is available on a first come, first served basis on site at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center. Directions and up to date parking rates are available by clicking here. A daily parking fee, currently at $8 per day, per vehicle applies. Valet parking is currently $13 per day. Prevailing rates apply at check in. Non-overnight guests may park at the Park Roanoke Gainsboro Parking Garage that is two blocks from the hotel. Current rates are $1 per hour or $6 for the day.
Hotel Roanoke offers a free shuttle service to and from the Roanoke Regional Airport. To schedule a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, call 540-853-8230 upon arriving on the runway and the shuttle service will be near the baggage claim area by the time you are ready for it. Upon leaving Hotel Roanoke and returning to the airport, shuttles leave at :15 and :45 each hour. Please check in with the bell stand in the Hotel Lobby to let them know you will need a shuttle. The shuttle holds 11 people plus luggage. If you are traveling to the Hotel Roanoke with a bigger group than 11, please alert Hotel Roanoke and they can send multiple vehicles for pickup.

Hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding are just minutes away from the conference site. Looking for a quick walk? Take a stroll through Roanoke’s Historic City Market and browse local shops and restaurants or visit one of Downtown Roanoke’s many museums..

Visit our friends over at Roanoke Mountain Adventures and rent a mountain bike, greenway bike, or stand up paddleboard and explore the Roanoke River, greenways, and 10 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails on Mill Mountain… all just minutes from the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center.
Grab a Beer
Roanoke is a beer city! Deschutes and Ballast Point are on their way, but Roanoke also boasts great local craft breweries to satisfy any palate. Big Lick Brewing Company is a short walk from the conference site and Soaring Ridge Craft Brewers are just a few blocks farther on Shenandoah Ave. If you head out to the Appalachian Trail for a hike or Carvins Cove for a mountain bike ride, be sure to stop by Parkway Brewing Co. Kessler Mill Road in Salem and have a Get Bent!.

Renee's pick: Nawab - located on Campbell Ave in Downtown Roanoke, only a 5 minute walk from #AORE 2017, Nawab boasts amazing Indian food and one of the best lunch buffets in all of Roanoke.
Kat's pick: Cedar’s Lebanese Restaurant - Cedar’s is located on Campbell Ave only a few doors down from Nawab. Their authentic Lebanese cuisine boats 50% of their menu as vegetarian and has a great Middle Eastern flair.
Greg's pick: Wasabi’s - downtown Roanoke’s sushi place offers fantastic lunch specials as well as delicious and fresh sushi, sashimi, and teriyaki options for dinner. Wasabi’s is on Market Street only 5 minutes from #AORE 2017.
